SOS Ministries discuss awareness month, online auction and more

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – SOS Ministries is celebrating 30 years of serving the Brazos Valley, and starting Monday, you have a chance to help them continue their work.

J.J. Ramirez and Kyle Salmon joined First News at Four on Monday to discuss SOS Ministries Awareness Month, which involves the Neighborhood Outreach and Online Auction.

Many items up for auction right now to benefit the organization.

“We have some hunting trips and some couples getaways. We also have some Aggie baseball and football tickets. And then some shopping sprees and spa packages,” he said.

The main point, according to Ramirez, is to raise awareness about the work they do in the community.

“In the month of April, we go out and do neighborhood outreach. And so we try to invite them [people] to our programs and we serve over 600 people a week, including our Children’s ministry,” he said.
