Spend the night under the stars at ‘Lick Creek Park in the Dark’
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Explore nature right here at home with a camping trip at Lick Creek Park’s Gary Halter Nature Center.
The City of College Station is hosting two overnight camping events in the park. The first will be on Friday, April 5. Later in the month, they will hold the event again on April 19.
There will be a hot dog dinner, storytelling, s’mores and a night hike.
Campers must bring a tent, supplies, snacks and drinks. Electricity is not provided, so pack flashlights and tent lanterns. Campers are also recommended to bring sleeping bags, insect repellents and folding chairs.
The family-friendly event begins at 6 p.m. on Friday and ends at 7 a.m. on Saturday.
All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pets aren’t allowed.
