New children’s store bringing more fashion, fun to Brazos Valley
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – If you’re looking for new clothes or activities for your kids, a new store can help.
It’s the Evie + Oak Childrens Boutique located at 1255 Arrington Road in Suite 4000 in College Station.
The store opened in December 2023, and its grand opening will be on April 4 at 4:30 p.m.
Evie + Oak offers a variety of items including clothes, accessories, candy, toys and books.
Every item is hand-picked and heavily researched, according to the owner Chelsey Sweidan.
“Most of them are actually passcode protected, meaning that people around me can’t carry them and so I just wanted to be unique,” Sweidan said. “I wanted to be different, but I also wanted to bring my style to College Station.”
Another unique aspect of the store is it’s named after Sweidan’s kids, Everly and Oaklyn.
“It’s extremely special to me,” Sweidan said. “As a mom, I know that it’s not for everyone, but my children are my entire world, and I wanted this store to be named after them. I want them to look back and be really proud of their mom and see that I did work really hard and I wanted this for them and I wanted to create a great life for them.”
Sweidan is also a former teacher who didn’t see herself owning a boutique at this point in her life.
“When I had Everly, I decided to stay at home because I knew my calling in life was to be a full-time mommy and so that’s what I thought I would do until we found this location and it was, kind of, like a now or never,” Sweidan said.
