Support the future of agriculture with the Brazos Valley Youth Livestock Association

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – This Saturday you can come out and support the future of agriculture in Texas.

The Brazos County Youth Livestock Association is holding its Premium Auction beginning at 1 p.m. at the Brazos County Expo Center.

Riley Stokes, a Junior Board Chairman for the BCYLA said that the auction is a culmination of the year’s work for students.

“A Premium Auction is where we go and we sell our livestock projects that we have raised all year. We also have FCS (Family Consumer Sciences) projects like Ag Mech and things like that,” she said.

Stokes says the money spent goes right back to the kids who show at the auction.

“The money that we get, a lot of us use it for the next year’s project. It also goes towards our savings accounts to further our education in college,” she said.

The Premium Auction on Saturday is free to attend.
