One person hospitalized following Friday morning crash near Kurten

BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – One person has been taken to the hospital following a crash along Highway 21 near Kurten.

It happened around 6:30 Friday morning.

A sergeant with the Department of Public Safety says the driver of an 18-wheeler failed to yield the right of way to the driver of a pickup truck.

The pickup hit the trailer when the 18-wheeler pulled out of a private driveway, according to DPS.

The driver of the pickup was taken to St. Joseph Hospital with what’s described as suspected incapacitating injuries.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.
