Free Music Friday: Tiona Campbell
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Tiona Campbell was born and raised in East Texas. She grew up in a musical family.
She is in the Brazos Valley this weekend. For today’s Free Music Friday, she joined First News at Four.
Campbell said she caught the musical bug early from her family and her faith.
“My mom was a singer in church who grew up in a small town in East Texas. My dad was a sound man, and my brother was the drummer,” she said.
Campbell will be performing at the Texas Birthday Bash this weekend because of her success in a music competition.
“I’m allowed to sing because I was in a competition called the Sounds of a Small Town with inspirational Country Music Awards. And I made it to the finale, so they’re allowing me to come sing at the festival,” she said.
