Marine One set to arrive next week at George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – The Marine One helicopter used by President George H.W. Bush will arrive at its permanent home next week.
It will be housed in the new Marine One/4141 Locomotive Pavilion at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum.
The Marine One helicopter was flown frequently by President Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush during their time in the White House.
The massive 72-foot aircraft is scheduled to arrive in College Station on Tuesday, February 27. It will be transported by a large truck. A crane will be used to lift the helicopter from the truck and into its new home.
The Marine One/4141 Locomotive Pavilion is under construction and not yet open to the public. The grand opening will be in June.
