Meet the Candidate: Clint McRae

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The 2024 Primary Election is March 5, 2024. KBTX is speaking with the candidates vying for votes.

Clint McRae joined First News at Four on Wednesday to discuss his candidacy for Walker County Sheriff.

He said that he is running for re-election because he has the most experience in this current office.

“I’m actually running for my 6th term, I’ve been the Sheriff for the past 20 years. I’m the only candidate that has experience being the sheriff,” said McRae.

He said his contributions to his community are what makes him the best candidate for the job.

McRae added that he is always available, even though he does not currently have a heavy web presence.

“I do not currently have a Facebook, but I’m very open and always available to the community. All they have to do is give me a call, I’ll meet with them. Whatever we need to do to make things happen,” said McRae.
