Aggieland Humane Society hosts Inspiring Tails Luncheon
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -Aggieland Humane Society hosted its Inspiring Tails Luncheon on Tuesday, one of its biggest fundraisers of the year.
The money raised helps fund the many programs at the shelter.
It’s not just basic care of animals, they have a spay and neuter team, foster care, volunteers, the new dog day out program and so much more.
Tuesday, they shared success stories of pets thriving in our community, including the story of Tahoka, who is now named Buddy.
”He has settled down, he’s 11 pounds now, he has been vet checked, he goes to school, we bring him wherever we go,” said Loretta Foster.
Loretta said she heard about Tahoka from KBTX and felt compelled to adopt him.
“I can’t imagine our life without Buddy now,” Joe Foster said. “It’s Tahoka but we renamed him Buddy, but I can’t imagine it. I’ve never been closer to a dog in my life.”
Katrina Ross, Executive Director of Aggieland Humane Society, said they share these stories to show the impact of the shelter and explain why your donations and contributions matter.
“We just try to share the message in all different avenues because it’s not just one program that we do,” Ross said. “It is an all-encompassing, holistic shelter approach at Aggieland Humane.”
KBTX’s Rusty Surette was a guest speaker at the luncheon as we have covered Buddy’s story every step of the way.
