Readers can come enjoy the Fortnightly annual book sale

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Attention book enthusiast! Want to expand your collection?

The Fortnightly Club of Brenham is holding a book sale soon, with thousands of different options for all ages.

Rockie Rexroad, who is on the Fortnightly Club’s book sale committee, joined First News at Four ahead of this exciting event.

“We’ve gone from two tables at the library to hundreds of tables at the Washington County fairgrounds in Brenham. We have 70 different categories, and even sub-categories and we have at least 50 thousand books,” said Rexroad.

She also said people come early to get a better selection of what is available at the sale.

“We would really appreciate it if you would come over so that we can support our library,” said Rexroad.

The event is from Feb. 19th to Feb. 24th.

Children get into the sale for free, and parking is free.

Admission on the 19th from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. is $10 for adults, but after 1 p.m. and for the rest of the sale, admission is $1.

All proceeds benefit Brenham’s Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library.
