Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley offers STEAM-based discovery program

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley offers Discovery Days and Discovery Labs, which emphasize STEAM learning.

The Discovery Program turns a regular field trip into an interactive, hands-on day of discovery.

Each Discovery Day offers science-based programming meant to engage and entertain students while having fun. Topics include Paleontology, Astronomy, Geology and Marine Sciences.

Discovery Days can be scheduled on Monday or Wednesdays. These events are private, and the museum will be closed to the public during the time of the reservation.

Every month, the museum hosts professionals in different areas of STEAM as they lead a hands-on activity focused on their specialization.

Sponsored by MetroNet, Discovery Labs will host Healthy Habits with the Texas A&M Pre-Dental Society on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 5 p.m. They will talk to the children about the importance of healthy brushing habits.
