‘Meet Your Army’ event at Texas A&M

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – Thursday, the U.S. Army visited Texas A&M University’s campus for the ‘Meet Your Army’ event.

There were units from Fort Cavazos as well as people from across the country representing the different branches of the Army on campus in Aggie Park on Wednesday and Thursday.

The public could come and interact with the military vehicles and soldiers during the event.

Texas A&M University’s Corps of Cadets also met with the different branches of the Army to learn more about what post-grad might look like if they pursue the Army after graduation.

“Well as a cadet, you’re still trying to figure out what you want to do in the Army essentially, and so by having these displays, it’s going to help narrow down the focus of what the cadets want to do for the Army going forward,” said Michael Fung, the Executive Director for Texas A&M’s ROTC Battalion.

They also had a Grey Eagle plane in front of the Corps Arches and a helicopter in front of Simpson Drill Field for display as well.
