Weekend Gardener: 2024 Junior Master Gardener National Leader Training conference

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – There’s a great training opportunity coming up for people who enjoy teaching children about gardening.

The 2024 Junior Master Gardener National Leader Training conference is scheduled for Feb. 20-21.

“This is a spectacular conference. If you have a heart for working with kids in the garden, this is the conference for you,” said Jayla Fry with Texas A&M AgriLife. “It’s for teachers, volunteers, parents, anybody that has that overlap between kids and gardening.”

The conference is virtual and interactive with workshops and breakout sessions.

“It’s $65 for access to every session so you have that access for four months after the conference and so you don’t have to choose which breakout,” said Fry. “There are 14 CPEs available for those teachers that need those professional development credits.”
