1 killed in deadly Milam County crash
MILAM COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Milam County Tuesday morning.
According to DPS, 61-year-old Wayne Hoyt Todd, of Thorndale, was traveling north on FM 486 near CR 436. A garbage truck was stopped picking up trash. Troopers say Todd failed to slow down and collided into the back of the garbage truck.
Todd was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the garbage truck were not injured.
Texas DPS would like to remind drivers to limit distractions and watch for slow-moving or stationary vehicles. They say keeping a focus on what lies ahead greatly reduces the probability of being involved in a traffic crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
