MLK Freedom Caravan and Program canceled ‘out of an abundance of caution’ because of weather
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – A community event scheduled for Monday morning has been canceled because of the weather.
The Brazos Valley Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. had planned on hosting the 28th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Freedom Caravan and Program.
Early Monday morning, organizers made the call to cancel the event. In a Facebook post, the group said, “Out of an abundance of caution, we will NOT have the program or caravan today. We will share details soon about our plans to ensure Dr. King gets his due honor in our community. Please stay warm and stay safe!”
