Brazos Valley American Red Cross to hold two blood drives in January
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – January is National Blood Donor Month and the American Red Cross has two opportunities to donate this month.
There will be a blood drive on Friday, Jan. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-day Saints at 2815 Welsh Ave in College Station.
Then on Saturday, Jan. 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., a drive will be held at the American Red Cross office at 4240 Boonville Road in Bryan.
The American Red Cross says the number of people donating blood is at its lowest level in 20 years.
There’s concern the situation may only get worse in the coming weeks because of winter weather and an outbreak of respiratory viruses.
