31st annual Feast of Caring benefits Brazos Valley Food Bank
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The 31st annual Feast of Caring to benefit the Brazos Valley Food Bank is in the books for Wednesday, August 7 at the Brazos Center.
The event, which features a buffet-style lunch served by local celebrities, will begin at 11 a.m. and go until 1 p.m.
“The food is what’s important. It’s rice and beans which is symbolic,” Brazos Valley Food Bank Executive Director Theresa Mangapora said.
Attending the event is free, but a donation is encouraged.
“I don’t know what it is but you get into that room and it’s just the noise and the laughter. It’s a feel-good event for a cause that’s kind of sad. But what you know you’re doing is a good thing,” Mangapora said.
