17-year-old arrested for incident with a gun inside Navasota business
NAVASOTA, Texas (KBTX) – The Navasota Police Department is investigating an aggravated assault at a business in the 700 block of West Washington Avenue.
Police say officers were called to the Food Mart around 11 p.m. Monday for a possible robbery in progress with shots fired.

When officers arrived, the suspect, Juan Luis Olivares, was still in the store and taken into custody.
Officials say he had a stolen gun out of the DFW area.
Authorities declined to say if any shots were fired. They said the investigation remains ongoing.
They did say officers found several broken doors and merchandise has been thrown around the business.
Olivares is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a stolen firearm, and criminal mischief.
Police say no one was injured in the incident.
